New high tech & traditional Farm & Land auction options

The world, and technology, is always changing. DreamDirt is taking that to heart by opening our newest location in Mason City, Iowa. The facility, located on Hwy 18 in front of Walmart and across from Farm Credit Services, will be developed into the first-of-its-kind Northern Iowa Farmland Auction Center. The new location will serve as a bidding and operations center for our live and online auctions.

The Northern Iowa Farmland Auction Center will provide remote bidders a physical location to place bids and allow DreamDirt to conduct auctions for farms in the region. While bidding online can be a streamlined process, we want to meet the needs of those who prefer to bid in person – even if they can’t make it to the actual auction!

DreamDirt also plans to serve the Mason City area by hosting technology and agricultural marketing seminars for local agricultural organizations. The Center is a brick and mortar extension of DreamDirt’s newly developed online bidding software specifically designed for land and machinery auctions.

“The growth of mobile technology has changed how we deliver auction services to our customers and clients,” said Jason Smith, Broker and Auctioneer at DreamDirt. “We are committed to adopting new technologies that fit today’s marketplace and providing services that match the needs of our buyers and sellers.”

DreamDirt offers live auctions with online bidding, purely live auctions, and purely online auctions for farmland, farm machinery, or farm consignment items. The company sees online bidding allow more bidders and sellers to participate in auctions.

“Live onsite auctions are still a great option but we want to provide as many advantages for buyers and sellers as we can,” said Tom Bradley, Broker and Auctioneer at DreamDirt. “Ten years ago, online auctions seemed like a novelty. Today we’ve sold millions of dollars of equipment and land to online bidders. Our online auctions are an essential part of our value.”

“I’m excited about expanding into Mason City,” said Nicole Smith, Online Auctioneer at DreamDirt. “Some people appreciate traveling to a physical location to place bids instead of bidding online. The Center will help us accommodate those bidders in the Mason City area. Yet, our online bidding software allows us to serve bidders who live halfway across the country, or just don’t want to bid in person.”

The new Mason City location will become DreamDirt’s second physical office in Iowa. With agents across the state, the company serves Iowa, southern Minnesota, southeast South Dakota, eastern Nebraska, and northern Missouri. Details about the grand opening of the Northern Iowa Farmland Auction Center on March 20th in Mason City will be posted on our website at DreamDirt.com.
